Oakland Museum
The Oakland Museum of the State of California has collected footwear for 90 years. On display is a selection of some of the best in a collection composed of footwear worn by men, women, children and babies for their work, play, active sports, parties, dances, ceremonial occasions, and more.

German Leather Museum
Shoes from around the world, the tools of the trade and the artefacts of cobbler's guilds have naturally been part of the German Leather Museum's collections since the museum was founded. After several decades during which several complete series of footwear had been acquired, it became obvious that the section needed a home for itself, and the German Shoe Museum was a fact in 1952.

These shoes are on display in the Greenbelt Museum in Greenbelt, Maryland, USA. These shoes tell of the voyages through the decades through which they came to us. This footwear dates back from the mid 1930s till 1950s. Not only are the shoes artifacts linking us to the era from which they came from but also they are useful to compare with other shoes of their age and today's footwear as well.
