Toe Crest Cushion. Pamper Your Toes!
While a rousing rendition of "This Little Piggy Went to
Market" is probably
not going to place an overly large amount of strain on your toes,
the fact
of the matter is that your toes really do taking a beating, day-in
and
day-out. They bear a suitably impressive workload, I'm sure
you'll agree,
and in return receive little acknowledgement. After all, when was
the last
time anyone said what a good job their toes did? But you certainly
hear all
about it when someone's toes are sore, right? Gives new meaning
to the
phrase, 'a thankless task,' methinks. So perhaps it's about time
we all
showed a little more appreciation for our toes.
If pampering your toes is not motivation enough, perhaps pain relief
is
something you'd go for. Whatever the case, a suitable method for
both,
preventing and alleviating pain is the so-called toe
crest cushion. As its
name implies, it is a crescent-shaped device (made from materials
as
disparate as silicon and chamois) that can be nestled underneath
the toes
and thereby relieve pressure and friction. Offering enhanced comfort
and
pain relief in the process.
Designed with a small loop to slip around one toe, the moon-shaped
toe
cushion pad spreads across almost all the width of your foot, offering
support for all your toes but the big one. Toe crest cushions can
be worn
with shoes all day long, are typically odorless, washable as well
as
reusable, and are recommended as part of a treatment solution for
hammer
toes. Moreover, they're an inexpensive solution, costing less than
$10. Take
note, however, that these toe crest pads are usually sold separately
(hopefully most people aren't unfortunate enough to require toe
cushions for
both feet) and are available in both right and left foot variants,
naturally. One final point to take note of when searching for toes
cushion
crests is that if general S, M, L sizes are not available, one might
need to
order by men's or women's shoe size.
Toe Appreciation Day. Not Coming Soon.
In addition to being a suitable method to facilitate pain relief,
a toe
crest pad can be found for virtually every toe ailment, such as
helping to
correct clawed and hammertoes for example. By supporting bent-under
toes,
they relieve pressure and ease the stress placed upon the metatarsal
shafts.
And well, what more could you want than that? Less pain, more comfort.
We
think that's a pretty good deal at the end of the day.
Speaking of which, although we're probably not going to get 'Toe
Appreciation Day' turned into an official holiday any time soon,
it's
nevertheless a good idea to take the load off your toes and feet
every now
and then. And to do just that, we've assembled links to an astounding
array
of footcare products. So put your feet up and put your fingers to
work for a
change by heading on over to the links at the right-side of this
