Today Kids, We Learn How To Pitch A Sensitive Foot Tent!
Camping may not be the most suitable recreational activity for
someone
suffering from sensitive feet, given the stresses and strains that
will no
doubt need to be endured by those already ailing feet. But that
doesn't mean
that you can't get your outdoor fix; you can, in a sense, still
pitch your
tent. Okay, so we're not entirely sure that introduction made sense
either,
but then how exactly do you introduce what is quite possibly one
of the
wackiest (yet oddly, still rather useful) foot-related inventions
ever?
Podiatry related gizmos are not known for their aesthetic value
and this
latest device is no exception. The sensitive foot tent is well,
it's exactly
what it sounds like, that is... uh, a tent for your feet.
Whether it's diabetes or arthritis or any chronic foot ailment
for that
matter, long-time sufferers are all too aware of the foot
pain and discomfort
heavy bedding can cause, and this is where the sensitive feet tent
comes
into its own. Designed to be placed neatly at the edge of your mattress,
it
keeps the top sheet and blankets from coming into direct contact
with your
feet while still keeping you warm and allowing you to get a good
night's
rest. So there you have it, a simple and not entirely elegant solution,
but
one that will hopefully guarantee comfortable sleep for you and
yours. After
all, it's not a difficult concept to grasp: typically (or preferably)
the
device should be composed of an anodized aluminum frame, be in the
region of
thirteen inches wide and can be height adjusted from 22" through
28". It
creates a space around the lower legs, ankles and feet, keeping
heavy
bedclothes from disturbing your sleep.
Pitch It And They Will Come
Of course, not all foot tents for sensitive feet are made equal.
No sir, not
by a long shot. You need to ensure that the device is strong enough
to
support the weight of the sheets, comforters and other heavy bedclothes
you
intend to use during those cold winter months (or all year round
if you live
in, oh say, the Arctic). After all, you don't want the foot tent's
frame to
buckle or collapse during the night; we'd think that's going to
hurt a lot
more than simply the weight of your sheets. Therefore, it's imperative
that
you find a feet tent that is strong yet lightweight enough to be
easily
handled.
And to help you do just that (find a good quality foot tent, that
is) we've
gone one step further. While quite possibly the strangest foot care
product
we've come across in our quest for the ultimate prices, it's certainly
not
the only one. In fact, to the right of the page you'll find links
to an
extensive range of orthotics,
medical salves, therapeutic shoes and of
course, stuff like the sensitive feet tent that can't help but put
a smile
on your face. And not just because it'll help you get a good night's
rest.
