set? Pedicure sets, also known as pedicure kits, offer the tools
you need to take proper care of your feet. What should I look for
in a pedicure set? Some pedicure
tips: When shopping for a pedicure kit, look for one that includes
the following:
- Toenail clippers for trimming
- A nail file for smoothing the top of the nail
- Toenail scissors to correct and prevent ingrown toenails
- Toe separators for no-smudge polish application
- A callus and/or corn shaver to exfoliate thickened, dead skin
How to I perform a pedicure?
- Soak your nails in warm water before clipping. Then, use the
tools in your pedicure kit to perform the following:
- Use a callous and/or corn shaver to gently remove rough areas
of skin.
- Cut your nails straight across, rounding slightly at the tip.
Use sharp nail scissors or nail clippers. (Don't clip your cuticles.
The cuticle prevents bacteria from entering the skin.)
- Dry feet thoroughly and apply moisturizer.
Should men use pedicure kits, too?
Absolutely. Both men and women should use the tools supplied in

sets. Simply keep children's toenails trim and their feet clean.
