There is absolutely no shame in suing that Walkers Cane
The Walkers Cane:I would like to begin here with a little
story. It just makes things easier and most of the time people relate
best to a story, something that they can sink their teeth into so
to speak, or something that they themselves have experienced in
life. There is an older gentleman that I know well - actually he
is related to me.
For years, he was the portrait of health and vitality, a pillar
in the community, a successful businessman that everyone looked
up to. Unfortunately, he had an accident and is now forced to use
a Walkers Cane everywhere he goes. Life was difficult with the Walkers
Cane, he hated it, it was embarrassing, and he was ashamed that
a Walkers Cane was the only way that he could get around.
At that point, there was not much that we could do. The Walkers
Cane was a necessity, as he could not manoeuvre without it. His
balance was out of sorts and the Walkers Cane offered the stability
and reassurance he needed. Walking with a cane allowed him to continue
a semblance of a normal life, actually it allowed him to continue
life just as he had before the accident. There was no difference
other than the Walkers Cane.
We decided to do something though something we were sure
would make him feel better about the Walkers Cane. I took it one
evening and painted it a deep mahogany colour, making it look like
a piece of wood. I went to the local Home Depot and gathered some
information on faux finishing, telling them that I wanted to take
a aluminium walkers can and spruce up that dull grey finish a bit.
With their help, I was able to create a unique and handsome gentlemen's
Walkers Cane.
Walking with the cane is no longer embarrassing and he is no longer
shamed. The Walkers Cane is an accessory, part of his daily ensemble
that just happens to assist him with walking.
