Painful walking and activity may be the result of Feet Problems
Feet Problems may very well be the root of all evil in your
life. All experts agree that feet are the most important and in
some respects, the most complex part of the human body. And feet
problems can only complicate matters, making life difficult to negotiate.
This is about what you use your feet for. We walk with our feet,
and with substantial feet problems, activities as simple and effortless
as walking will be invariably complicated and difficult. But what
kind of feet problems are we speaking of? The long and short of
it is that feet problems run the spectrum of ailments and vary in
active symptoms. But certain feet problems cause significantly more
difficulty than others. And it is these feet problems that need
to be corrected quickly and expeditiously by the appropriate physician.
Feet problems often times come at birth in the form of defects
and malformations. These unfortunate feet problems range from talipes
equinovarus (club foot) to talipes planus (flat foot). But these
feet problems are only a sampling of the feet problems that result
from birth defects and malformations.
Talipes Varus is a defect of the feet where the forefront of the
foot is bent inward while the rear of the foot remains normal. These
feet problems are not overwhelming and normally rectify themselves
within a few weeks. Talipes Calcaneus is a malformation wherein
the forefront of the foot is flexed upwards and may in some cases,
actually touch the leg. Again these feet problems are not grave
and will most likely correct themselves in a few weeks.
Without a doubt though, feet problems stemming from club foot and
flat foot are the most severe and may require more intensive medical
attention then the host of other feet problems that frequently plague
the human foot.
For club feet, depending on the severity of the case, the structural
complication leading to feet problems can be corrected by massage
or in some cases surgery. This is normally addressed between three
and four months after birth. Infants with flat feet problems are
treated with lifts, whether inserted into shoes or whether addressed
by a plastic surgeon, but can not occur until the foot has developed
significant structure.
